Young American Homes

Young American Homes enjoys a rich legacy of new home construction in Idaho since the 1950's. President Jerry Smith and his son, J.D. Smith (who joined the company after graduating from Boise State University in 2004) assumed ownership of the company in 1997. Jerry Smith has achieved tremendous success in the residential construction business as principal of the company, a direct consequence of his previous experience building over six hundred homes in the Boise Valley prior to his acquisition of Young American Homes.

Young American Homes has thrived under Jerry's leadership. The company's journey to transform the residential construction process into a collaborative relationship which harnesses the talents of the builder with the inspiration of the new owners has met with unprecedented approval since its inception. The company primarily focuses on building evocative, higher-end homes in some of the area's most well-known communities, such as the Montego Drive section of the The Islands subdivision in Nampa, Idaho.

Jerry resides in Nampa with his wife, while their three children live close by. This local boy is always only a phone call away. His hands-on approach to his company and every home he builds is a natural by-product of his constantly striving to bring together the highest quality materials and workmanship to protect each new home's value and ensure many years of comfort and enjoyment.
